Exam Monitor
A small program you run alongside your exam. It confirms the exam is being taken on this computer and checks for remote-control software.
1 · Download and run
Windows. No installation and no administrator rights are needed.
- Open the downloaded file. If Windows shows a blue "Windows protected your PC" box, choose More info → Run anyway.
- A small window appears showing a green Connected indicator once it has paired with your exam — this download is made for your exam, so it connects by itself.
- Return to your exam. It will detect the monitor automatically and let you begin.
1 · Download and run
macOS. No installation and no administrator rights are needed.
- Open the downloaded app (Safari unzips it for you). The first time, macOS asks you to allow Input Monitoring for Exam Monitor in System Settings.
- A small window appears showing a green Connected indicator once it has paired with your exam — this download is made for your exam, so it connects by itself.
- Return to your exam. It will detect the monitor automatically and let you begin.
2 · If your exam shows a pairing code
Some exams show a short code instead of connecting automatically.
Type that code into the Exam Monitor window and press Connect.
What it monitors: whether keyboard and mouse input is being injected by software rather than typed on this computer, whether a remote-desktop session is active, and whether known remote-access tools are running. It records counts and timings only — never what you type, and never your screen. It stops when you close it.
